What I dint like in this movie:
May be i would have had the mindset and expectations similar to that of Rang De Basanti.
Well, Delhi-6 is filled with well defined characters, good
cinematography and snappy dialogue. It’s a simple story by itself, but
it’s the little twists and turns, watching how the different characters
interact with each other and how the little plot elements suddenly
become big, quite realistically at that, which makes the film
engrossing. I didn’t like the end though, it was bit too filmy, typical bollywood style!!!
It’s the story revolves around Roshan (Abhishek Bachchan) who is an NRI (But he looks more Desi!!!) born and brought up in USA. He accompanies his grandma (Waheeda Rehman) who is counting her days and wants to spend her last days at Delhi-6 (Chandni Chowk). And he meets people like Rishi Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Om Puri, Flashy Pawan Malhotra (Brother of Om Puri in this movie) and so on. And the movie runs through few incidents or things in Delhi:
real life vs the Ram-Laxman relationship, for example)
stalking the streets of chandni chowk, and providing fodder to the
numerous TV news channels desperate to scare us for extra.
changing the channels which describe the various stages of passion
It was beautiful.
(Surprisingly i did not drool drool drool for AB - May be!!! i have become old
)
In the end, i had this mixed feeling about this movie. I was neither very disappointed nor very satisfied watching this movie. (May be i should watch this movie again, and be clear of how i feel about this movie)
